About Me
 
My name is Larissa Basovsky, I grew up in Kiev in the Ukraine and later moved to the States with my family and now reside in Pennsylvania.  All of my life I have had a passion for the arts, a passion also shared by my husband who was a brilliant musician.  A few years ago my beloved husband fell ill with cancer and he passed on, his passing took a tremendous toll on me.  For a few years I didn’t know how to live, and accept my world without him.  I was lost until a close friend suggested I do something in his memory, something that would that would be as timeless as my memories of him.  That was all of the inspiration I needed and with my deep ceded passion for the arts I started this company, naming it after my beloved husband.  My purpose was not to simply make jewelry but to inspire beauty, to make timeless creations that will provide memories for a lifetime. Much like the memories of my husband, our pieces are designed to endure forever.  Each piece of jewelry I produce is handcrafted and is entirely one of kind, just as we are all unique the pieces you wear should accentuate your individuality.  In my husbands memory 3% of the proceeds of each item that is purchased through Avika Jewelry will be donated to fund cancer research and to help find a cure for cancer.  And maybe, just maybe, someone else’s loved one will have the chance to stay with them longer then my husband was able to with me.
